Ashley, Jokin and the Dwarf Fail Again

Well when it came to the January transfer window, Jokin wanted 5 players to strengthen an already paper-thin squad. He ended up losing 2 quality players and bring in 3 of dubious quality...an overall increase of 1, then.

This lot knew what was needed and they had a month to do it. They failed.

In any other job they would be out on their ears.

Still, at a spending rate of £5M per night.....at least the profit fat Ash pocketed from selling the family silver will give him a couple of nights in his beloved casino.

Derby Day

Today is local derby day....United versus the great unwashed, the village of the damned, Wearside.

Usually for these games, I'm excited for days beforehand - they are such momentous events, the biggest derby in the country, atmosphere with an electric charge, no quarter asked and none given. And normally we win them.

But today is different. Today United are in such a mess, such disarray, I fear the outcome. Useless owner, invisible chairman, clueless "manager" and a team - half of whom just want to leave.

These magnificent fans don't deserve to be in this situation.

The Silence of the Fans....

Is it just me? Or do others feel this way.....

After a season of Ashley and his dwarf, and their arrogance towards the fans, no communication, the dubbing of the puppet chairman as "the silence of the Llambias", and the verbal diarrhoea which seems to constantly emanate from the mouth of the puppet manager....

The away fans are always the very core of the Toon Army - the footsoldiers who traipse up and down the land and would run through a brick wall for the cause that is our beloved Newcastle United. Battle hardened and unbowed in the face of tirades of abuse at various grounds of so-called "big" clubs...they are the crack troops, the elite.

Theyre also always a useful barometer with which to measure feelings amongst the rest of the greatest fans in the country....

All week, the local radio and newspapers have been featuring stories on how quiet the fans are in the face of the complete and utter shambles that is the running of the club.

Then yesterday it happened. Faced with the appealling fare of 90 mins having a go at Fat Sam for all the ills he allegedly brought to NUFC......the fans turned. Sam was cast aside - and the true feelings of Tyneside let rip on a cold afternoon in Blackburn.

Ashley, the dwarf all got special treatment. But the big guns trained on the "manager with the mouth" who was treated to waves of abuse - not before time, his record at a club of this size is appalling.

Strains of "Walking in a Keegan Wonderland" brought a lump to the throat - but it was the cry in the wilderness for an army with no leaders and nowhere to go.....

I just don't know any more!

Have to say....this longtime season ticket holder has a real problem with the current set up.

I'm geordie born and proud. I was raised the right way, and educated correctly - including the fact that United are a way of life for every true geordie, and our nation is something to be proud of.

Our heros have always been massive figures and great footballers - Hughie Gallagher, Frankie Brennan, Bobby Mitchell, Wyn Davies, Alan Shearer........

Yes we've had our problems with previous boards - Westwood the Pirate, McKeag etc

But this cockney barrow boy takes the biscuit. The invisible man and his invisible cronies. Don't communicate with the rabble theyre just customers to be thrown the odd text or piece of bread ...

These people don't understand the unique and extraordinary relationship geordies have with Newcastle United. Joe Harvey understood, Kevin Keegan understood, Sir John Hall understood, Sir Bobby (god bless) understood......

If this man and his dwarf are still in charge at the end of the season - this lifelong United fan is sending the season ticket renewal envelope back, with a suitably penned note, from a proud Geordie.......
